PRTF WAIVER GRANT PROGRAM
The South Carolina Department of Mental Health in conjunction with South Carolina Medicaid is excited to offer a special program for children ages 4 to 19 who have severe emotional disturbances. These services are offered in the home and community instead of a residential psychiatric treatment facility.
Families and youth will have a choice of services and supports to help keep their child at home or after they return from a treatment facility. The child will be assessed by clinical professionals from a qualified provider list. If the child needs the level of care that would be provided in a treatment facility and they meet the Medicaid requirements, they will qualify for the PRTF Waiver services. Read More
